the hedge fund industry by: helping members strengthen their relationships
with senior representatives of major endowments, foundations, corporate and public pension
funds, and investment consultancies; educating plan sponsors and institutional fund executives
on the opportunities, strategies and challenges of hedge fund investing; keeping members and
institutional investors apprised of important issues and developments impacting hedge funds and
hedge fund investing; enabling members to exchange ideas and experiences that can help them better

The Hedge Fund Institutional Forum offers several benefits and services: During the year four roundtables will be
held for each of the major institutional constituencies – endowments/foundations, corporate pension plans, public
pension plans, and investment consultants. These highly focused workshops will be linked to similar meetings of
the Institutional Investor Institute that have consistently drawn the largest institutional clients for over
thirty years. HFIF members will also have one members-only senior delegate meeting to stimulate thinking on
business development, the institutionalization of the hedge fund industry, compliance and due diligence, industry
trends, and strategies for maintaining a leadership position in the industry. In addition, it will help its
members gain insight into the thoughts, challenges, trends and concerns of major institutional
clients and prospects through benchmarking reports and research on the institutional marketplace and a private
interactive website for institutional investors.
