Global Fixed Income Institute

The Global Fixed Income Institute is created exclusively for the Directors of Global Fixed Income at leading buyside investment organizations. Designed as a privatemembership club, it provides fixed income executives with market and strategic intelligence they need to maintain a competitive edge in a rapidly changing market place. Like its U.S sister organization, the Fixed Income Forum, the Global Fixed Income institute provides a forum for the exchange of ideas on the problems investors face managing and expanding their businesses.

Membership Proposal
Institutional Investor recognizes the strength of diversity, and from the onset has designed the Global Fixed Income Institute to encompass the breadth of the institutional marketplace: from independent asset managers to insurers, mutual funds complexes to in-house pension funds and endowments. Created in May of 2000, over 40 of the industry's most respected organizations have joined to-date. Members receive executive summaries of each of the three meetings, subscription to the Journal of Fixed Income, proprietary ad hoc research reports and surveys, as well as a password protected member website.

Meeting Descriptions
Membership includes attendance to three meetings per year: two one day Roundtables (involving more day-to-day practical problems related to daily investment activities) and one Annual Meeting (which will focus on broader, bigger picture subjects of strategic importance). Programs will explore issues ranging from product development and new sources of business, to building credit research capabilities, performance attribution and consultant relations, hiring and compensation, to electronic trading and risk measurement.
