Currently celebrating its 30th Anniversary, the Defined Contribution Institute is a private membership organization for the nation’s DC plan sponsors as well as supporting members from the industry’s leading asset management firms, providers, and consultants. The only group of its kind, the DC Institute was engendered by plan sponsors who called for a collegial membership of their peers; one in which leading asset management firms and DC providers could work together with those executives responsible for their company’s retirement plans to design solutions for the biggest challenges facing employees and retirees.

Built by plan sponsors for plan sponsors, the agenda for each DC Institute meeting draws heavily on an incomparable well of industry insight contributed by our plan sponsor and expert attendees. Each program addresses the issues most relevant to the nation’s plans through expert-led panel discussions and peer-led roundtable sessions as well as customized research.

We hope you'll join us for an event in 2020 as we enter this new decade of gold standard events for North America's DC Plans.

I found the format to be much more interactive and engagement oriented. II did an amazing job to create a positive and well received learning journey for the plan sponsors and the companies presenting at the event.

Bernie Knobbe, Vice President, Global Benefits Corporate Total Rewards, AECOM

Three annual private institute meetings

Defined Contribution Institute Chicago (April); Defined Contribution Institute Half Moon Bay (September); Defined Contribution Institute Washington (October); and a fourth ad-hoc meeting (the June Defined Contribution Roundtable in New York) that adapts to the need of the market for that year.

2020 Advisory Board

The Defined Contribution Institute was created to serve DC plan sponsors, and we rely upon an Advisory Board of plan sponsors to help conceptualize and guide each event’s agenda. We sincerely thank this year’s Advisory Board as well as everyone who has provided — and will continue to provide — input to ensure that the topics we are addressing are current, practical, and pertinent.

I would highly recommend attending Institutional Investor’s DC conferences to new and continuing DC sponsors. I look forward to bringing ideas back to my committee for the benefit of our participants.
